SHUT IN WITH GOD

IN A SECRET PLACE

"The Lord shut him in." Genesis 7:16

Noah was shut in away from all the world by the hand of God. The door between us and the world which lies in the hands of the adversary is opened and shut by the Hand of God. We are not of the world even as Jesus was not of the world. He was the obedient servant to His Father (Spirit), doing only what He saw His Father do. As we obey Him, and His commandments are easy, as He has given us His Spirit to lead and guide us into an obedient walk.

We are instructed that although we are in the world, we are not to be part of the multitude who love pleasure and money more than they love God. Who and What we love identifies Who we are the servants of. We cannot play in the streets with the children of darkness, for our heavenly Father has shut us in the Ark that He has built for His sons. Noah was shut in the ark with his God. "Come thou into the ark," was the Lord's invitation, by which God clearly showed that He Himself intended to dwell in the ark with His servant and his family.

Hereby all the chosen dwell in God and God in them. Here His people will be enclosed in the same circle where God has invited us all to come and dwell. Not visit...dwell. Let us ever give heed to the Lords invitation, "Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee, and hide thyself as it were for a little moment until the indignation be past." Oh children, we are pre-warned of the indignation that is near at hand.....come into the Ark that is prepared...bring all who will come with you.

Noah was so shut in that no evil could reach him. Floods came but as it destroyed the unbelievers, it served to lift the inhabitants of the ark heavenward, and winds only helped to speed them on their way. Outside of the ark all was ruin, but inside all was rest and peace. The wrath of the Lamb that will destroy all those not in Jesus Christ will lift us up to Him.

Without Jesus Christ we would perish, but in Christ Jesus there is perfect safety. The door of His Riven Flesh has been opened to all, come on and reside in the Word. He was the Word made flesh. When the door to the Gentiles is shut...we will be lifted up off this earth with Him, away from destructive wrath that will abound. Noah was so shut in that he did not even desire to come out until the storm was over and the Ark rested, and those who are in Christ Jesus are in him for ever. We shall go no more out for ever, for His eternal faithfulness has shut us in, and infernal wrath cannot touch us or draw us out of His Place Of Safety. The Root and Offspring of the house of David shuts and no man opens; and when once, in the last days, as Master of the house He shall rise up and shut the door, it will be in vain for mere professors or imitators to
knock, and cry Lord, Lord open unto us, for that same door which shuts in the wise virgins will shut out the foolish for ever.
