Where the Word of the King is, there is power..,(Ecc. 8:4a) :  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand hearing (doctrine) ? them that are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breast. ( Isaiah 28:9) The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel. (Isaiah 9:8)  And thine ears shall hear a Word behind thee,  saying,.  This is the Way, walk ye in it, when you turn to the right hand, and turn to the left. ( Isaiah 30:21)  And an highway shall be there, and a  Way, and it shall be called  The Way of Holiness..., (Isaiah 35:8)  Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way.., (John 14:6)  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Rev. 3:13)

THE MESSAGE IN THE SHUNAMMITE

Some thirty years ago an old and dear saint of God from Houston, Texas called and while speaking to my husband...said "Tell the old Shunammite hello for me", and to show how the Spirit reveals a truth in such an ordinary way, I was making the beds and the Spirit spoke (audibly)_ saying_ "Daughter, there is a message in the Shunammite".

Being familiar with the scripture concerning Elisha and the great lady of Shunem, beginning in Kings 4:8-37 then completing in Kings 8: 1-6, the knowledge that she had always made the prophet welcome in her home begin to grow as the Spirit birthed in me that she built a room for him in the wall (foundation) above where she dwelt and furnished it with a bed, stool, table and lampstand. This is NECESSARY for us to furnish and make welcome the Word of God in our house (Our body is the house of God) and prepare and furnish Him a room IN OUR FOUNDATION (Spirit) and it be ABOVE our dwelling in our Soulish man of mind will and emotions.

When she did this...Elisha (the Word of God in that age) sent for her and she stood in the DOOR (and we should stand in the Door). When asked if she wanted to be seated with the king of the land, her answer was and ours should be " I prefer to dwell among my own people". When we have no desire to be prompted in a system, then God will allow us to produce a man-child, even as the Shunammite. But don't stop here, you see the man-child had grown and was working in the field of his father and died from exposure to the SUN. The LIGHT of the Son always slays what is born in us to bring it into resurrection LIFE.) The Shunammite laid the child's body on the resting place of the Word and hastened to the Word. When asked of her situation, she told the servant of the Word --"All is well!" Since Shunem means REST OR PEACE, this gives a clue to her declaration of faith in the time of death in the house.

Elisha sent his servant with his staff to lay on the young mans face, BUT the Shunammite fell at Elisha's feet and said "I will not leave thee". Praise God, when we go to the Word (Jesus Christ) and hold to His feet. He comes to our place of necessity. The servant He sends won't work. We have a direct channel to Him, if He is living in our house !

When Elisha came and stretched Himself on the child, his flesh became warm (when we feel the fire of the Word in our flesh...great things will happen), but it is important to notice Elisha walked through the entire house and came back to the room where the child lay and stretched himself on the child again and the lad sneezed seven times (glory) and came alive. It is vital that the Word of God be at home in our entire house (spirit, soul and body) for resurrection life to come forth in the soulish arena.

Later in Chapter 8 the Word (Elisha) reveals a famine ( 7 year famine) that will come in the land and directs the Shunammite to take her son and go among the philistines because a 7 year famine was at hand. This last day famine is not for bread or wine but for the HEARING of the Word of God. When that famine is lifted and the Shunammite company came before the King .her entire inheritance and possessions are restored...plus anything produced during the famine. Yes children, there will be a coming forth of the Word in our land even in famine.

Do you feel surrounded by philistines? (there has never been, nor now is a national tribe of people called the philistines, this is a term used for the former inhabitants of area called Philistia that fought Israel, trying to possess the land of promise. Our promise is the Spirit... theirs was a land.. so let's go forth and conquer all the old inhabitants of our flesh nature (Canaanites) and furnish the room for the Word and make Him at home in our house. We will be protected among the philistines during the famine. This is essential to walk in resurrection life. As apostle Paul wanted to be found in. See Phil 3:10. Don't let verse 11 frighten you..just realize the importance.
