Where the Word of the King is, there is power..,(Ecc. 8:4a) :  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand hearing (doctrine) ? them that are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breast. ( Isaiah 28:9) The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel. (Isaiah 9:8)  And thine ears shall hear a Word behind thee,  saying,.  This is the Way, walk ye in it, when you turn to the right hand, and turn to the left. ( Isaiah 30:21)  And an highway shall be there, and a  Way, and it shall be called  The Way of Holiness..., (Isaiah 35:8)  Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way.., (John 14:6)  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.  JESUS CHRIST OUR PASSOVER

Ex. 12: 1-25; Gen. 26; 28; John 10: 9; Luke 22: 15-20

The Feast of Passover was instituted as a deliverance from the sentence of death to all the inhabitants of Egypt including the children of God that were in bondage there. A famine in the land of promise had driven the seed of Abraham into Egypt, as God had told him when He cut a covenant of blood for him. (Remember children that the Lord and two of His angels ate a covenant meal with Abraham there at his tent in Mamre. Then God said "I will not withhold from Abraham what I am going to do as he will teach his children.") When I AM sent Moses to deliver His children from bondage, He gave power to the shepherd rod there in Sinai. Using this power of God, all of the gods of Egypt were stricken beginning with the water and proceeding to the firstborn. Egypt worshiped many and various forms of life. When John saw Jesus there on Patmos Isle, He had a rod coming from His mouth and His Spoken Word is what He uses today to destroy the gods people worship. It brings to mind the prophecy that in the last days there will be a famine, but not for bread and water but for the hearing of the Word of God. Famine drives people from the promised land into lands of those who worship other gods. Any idea of man that is taught which is not found in the Word of God is anti-christ teachings.

A command was issued for each household to take a lamb on the tenth day of the month Abib (our April) to establish a covenant meal. This was so important that it changed the Jewish calendar and is now the beginning of their year. Just as when we enter the Covenant Jesus Christ by our being born again, begins a new life. It is a time of New Beginnings. Indeed, the Passover meal marks the beginning of our deliverance from bondage. In the progression of description of this Lamb in verse four he becomes The lamb. In verse five he is now Your lamb and must be without spot or blemish. After three days your lamb is slain and the blood is applied to the two side posts, and the upper door post of each house with hyssop dipped in the blood in the basin at the threshold of the door of the house where it will be eaten.

The command was explicit, he was to be roasted with fire, (all of it) and nothing can remain until morning. Any remaining uneaten would be burned. It could not be watered down or sugar-coated, just had to be eaten as prepared by fire. It was to be eaten with their loins girded, shoes on their feet, staff in hand, and eaten in haste. Children are your loins girded with Truth and feet shod with the preparation of Peace. IT IS THE LORD'S PASSOVER. The Lord passed through the land and only spared those with blood on their door. We too, must eat only that which the fire of the Spirit prepares us and be ready to move at His command.

The institution of this Passover feast is to be observed each year for a memorial and is to be kept throughout all our generations. The bread for the feast had to be unleavened and no leaven could be in the house. This leaven speaks of sin (and it's use causes the bread to get puffed up). Here we have a meal that consist of unleavened bread and roasted Lamb. When God passed over taking the lives of the firstborn, He saw His children inside a house with blood on the door and they were eating and ready to move. What does that mean to us?

Jesus ate His last Passover meal on earth with His disciples in an upper room and He had desired to do so. He took the bread and break it and said, "This is my Body that is given for you ... eat," and poured the wine saying, "This is the new testament of my blood which is shed for you ... drink". The next day He who identified Himself as the Door hung on a cross with blood on each side, on His head, and pouring out at His feet and thus the Lamb of God was slain for the sins of the world. His side was opened and we are bidden, "If so be we have received Jesus Christ .. walk ye in Him." Are we walking in Him today, are we in the house that Jesus built? Is He our Door? As we walk in Him, which is simply obeying His Word, eating the Book and then we are safe from the death to the first-born. Jesus told those following Him for the miracles that we must eat His flesh, which is Word, and drink His blood, which is Spirit, or we would have no part in Him. The big crowds left, and they still do, and He asked the ones that remained .. "Why don't you go too?" The answer Peter gave is a clarion call of the Body of Christ today ..."Lord where can we go, You have the Words of Life." Are you running to all these self called "prophets" and "apostles" for a word, or are you running to Jesus ... He has the Words of Life. Every called and sent prophet in he five-fold ministry of Christ only speaks what the Spirit speaks and never bring attention to themselves. They are servants to the Body of Christ until we all grow into the fullness of the stature of Jesus Christ. Are we eating the Words of Life today?
