In 2nd Peter church structure and the path to walk into the fullness of the stature of Jesus Christ is detailed.  He has given us all of these great and precious promises to bring us into HIS nature.

        All of man's knowledge and ideas on church structure cannot be compared to but can be shortened and made more clear by reading 2nd Peter as to the church foundation (which as you know is the individual tabernacle of the spirit, soul and body of each of us). Why add to what is perfectly clear in the Word of God? Anyone who is a child of God and a seeker of He with whom we have to do can readily apply the Word to our lives and enables us to share this knowledge with those we fellowship with. To outline a man's concept of a new apostolic age is ridiculous. The apostolic age began when Jesus established it in His earthly walk. It has never changed and will never change. I am sorry that some who receive a little more knowledge of the freedom that is in God spend so much of their time trying to correct and embarrass a system called "church". If we would effectively witness to all we come in contact with this freedom of individual participation,  we would see a growth of the reality of the Body of Christ forming in the "global" community. Stop and think.. how many times did the first apostles speak against the temple worship? None.. they just gave the revelation of the rituals to all they met. When we have the Substance LIVING in us we come out of the shadows.

        Why not tell the believer to add to his faith - virtue (the kind that went out of Jesus to heal the woman with the issue of blood) which is the Holy Ghost, and then add knowledge (which is what the Holy Ghost reveals from the Written Word) and then temperance (we are tempered by going through the fire and being shaped by the loving hands of the Master and plunged into either water (of the Word) or oil (of the Spirit). water for strength of iron and oil for the flexibility of steel (as in sword)), then patience (the ability to move only by the Spirit and not rush to do or say what we want to) and then godliness (oops did the apostle say godliness.? .. we can only at this phase take on His nature) and then brotherly kindness (we are incapable so showing this until we are full of the Elder Brother) and then CHARITY.., which is the Agape (love of God). It has no hooks, and no curves ...just a straight from God to Me to you love...not wanting anything in return...no hidden agenda... Agape. When we make our calling and election sure ....(we were called with a predestined calling before the earth was created... remember the counsel in the Godhead to bring many sons into glory) ... we shall never fall. With these additions in our lives we are given an entrance, yea even an abundant entrance into the everlasting kingdom of Jesus Christ on this earth. His is a royal kingdom made up of a royal priesthood with our High Priest Jesus Christ doing His priestly work through us.

        Guess the Teacher in me surfaced on this one. The Spirit revealed to me this teaching of church structure is needed to further the growth of God's kingdom.. just don't need to add a new set of phrases and outlines (none surpass the one Peter gave) when what the Spirit spoke through the apostles at the beginning are still food for the soul . We are the church.. every one of us and it matters not where we meet as long as we are structured by the Word of God as individuals... we will come together and share with each other as He instructed us through apostle Paul.
