Where the Word of the King is, there is power..,(Ecc. 8:4a) :  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand hearing (doctrine) ? them that are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breast. ( Isaiah 28:9) The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel. (Isaiah 9:8)  And thine ears shall hear a Word behind thee,  saying,.  This is the Way, walk ye in it, when you turn to the right hand, and turn to the left. ( Isaiah 30:21)  And an highway shall be there, and a  Way, and it shall be called  The Way of Holiness..., (Isaiah 35:8)  Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way.., (John 14:6)  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Birth Pains

"I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence. And give Him no rest, till He establish, and make Jerusalem a praise in the earth." [Isaiah 62:6-7 KJV]

"A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world." (John 16:21 KJV)

The calling and destiny of the Church is to give birth to sons of God and discipline them in this present age. Tireless, faithful intercession is a key, as well as planting in fertile soil. Everything that is to manifest on this earth coming from God above, does so through the process of birthing. Children, heavenly vision, divine purpose, godly character, and destiny; all things bearing a holy and eternal virtue shoot from a living indestructible seed and comes through the womb of travail. This is why the apostle said he travailed in birth pangs until Christ is formed in those he disciple. God is not a magician, rather, He does His works according to the order of creation which He Himself established. A living seed has to be planted in a fertile womb; the full duration and friendly conditions must be present for healthy gestation; and a birth will eventually introduce the newborn creature into the light of this world. One of the first things an expectant mother is instructed to do is eat the proper foods, take vitamins, exercise and rest. We who are travailing for the man-child to be birthed in us must eat the Word, exercise our faith, take vitamins of revealed knowledge and rest in the Word.

As we know from natural application (human sexuality being a primary example), birthing is not easy. It is a bloody, messy and exhausting process which intensifies more and more the closer it draws to its conclusion. The planting of the seed is the pleasant part as complete intimacy between the partners is essential for a successful impregnating (contrary to the spirit so prevalent in this age which seeks the pleasure of intimacy without the responsibility of parenthood). Following the planting, the actual pregnancy takes much longer. It is far more complex and requires endurance, long suffering and patience as the new creation develops from seed form into a living being. The person with child has responsibilities to insure a healthy birth. The passion of the planting is here perfected with character, wisdom, and faith which give the stamina for the birth. But the actual birthing, the all-consuming travail and final drama of unveiling and introducing God’s new creation into our realm, is a battle for life and death.

Why is the church called to birth sons into their spiritual awakening through day and night intercession? Since Jerusalem is the place where God has chosen to place His name (Deuteronomy 12:11), keeping in mind that the natural city of Jerusalem that now is, is a spiritual Sodom and Gomorrah and the Body Of Christ .. the church .. is the spiritual Jerusalem; then His virtues, His holiness, mercy, judgments, and government are to eventually find full statement in the Bride (New Jerusalem). Her victory or bondage determines the spiritual atmosphere of the whole creation.

Right now we (the Body of Christ) is in the difficult birthing process leading up to the fulfillment of the promise of salvation "to all who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." The whole creation awaits the maturity of the Sons of God. This, according to scripture, will follow the reconciliation of the God's destined people to their Promised Land which is the ability to allow the Spirit to bring us into the stature of Jesus Christ. This is what the enemy has targeted ever since we have accepted the Lord and He begun His work in us. His word declares He will complete that which He has begun in us.

Understanding the magnitude of the battle that satan wars to destroy the Holy Nation of God (2nd Peter 2:5). The enemy’s attempt to destroy the people and to deny them the land of walking in the freedom of the Holy Ghost is a battle all of God's children are fighting. The grand prize is the land of promise (to mature into His stature). Of course God is using this battle to topple down the idols which the children of God worship and draw them to Himself through brokenness, so they can inherit this land of promise of maturity in Christ Jesus.

We not look for short cuts or an easy way out, but rather prepare ourselves and the flock of God for the increasing birth contractions. These birth pains will continue to intensify as God’s purpose is maturing in the furnace of affliction, and as the Church of the Lord Jesus continues to "push" in the womb of intercession. Each major event striking the holy nation of God, good or bad, ought to be viewed as another contraction bringing us closer to the anticipated birth of the Manifested Son of God in us.

Whether painful tragedies or joyful breakthroughs, the intercessor weeps with those who weep and rejoices with those who rejoice, seeing God’s sovereignty leading us closer to the birth of His blessed Kingdom on earth. Likewise, focused and intense Christian gatherings serve the purpose of God in the same way by presenting to Him a precious sacrifice of faith, hope, and love on behalf of His promises to bring His church into the maturity of the stature of the Son of God.
